The Schecter Damien Platinum-9 is the ideal electric guitar for all gothic rockers and metalheads. It is wrapped in matt black and convinces with striking Platinum Bats in the fingerboard. In addition to the mahogany body with curved top, Schecter relies on a glued, three-piece maple neck which, thanks to Ultra Access Heel and "Thin C" profile, can be played unhindered up to the highest positions of the rosewood fingerboard. In addition, the extended 30" scale guarantees precise sound development. Two active EMG 909 humbuckers on the guitar amplifier ensure adequate high gain sounds. Last but not least the Schecter Damien Platinum-9 Satin Black is equipped with a Hipshot Hardtail bridge and Grover tuners.
For the construction of the Schecter Damien Platinum-9 Satin Black, Schecter Guitar Research relies on the proven set-neck construction, whereby the extended 30" scale (711 mm) guarantees reproduction from the lowest to the highest string. The flowing Ultra Access Heel at the transition from the mahogany body to the glued, three-piece maple neck also guarantees problem-free access to the highest registers, while the extremely slim "Thin C" profile lies comfortably in the hand and allows any playing technique to go out of hand with ease.
For an adequate sound, the Schecter Damien Platinum-9 Satin Black is also equipped with active EMG pickups, which are considered in rock and metal circles not for nothing as a reference for particularly brute sounds. Equipped with Alnico V magnets, the EMG 909 humbuckers placed on the neck and bridge convince with a powerful sound, which represents even the lowest tones precisely and with high assertiveness. The pickups are managed with the usual 3-way circuit as well as general volume and tone controls.
Last but not least, the Schecter Damien Platinum-9 Satin Black convinces with high-quality and reliable hardware equipment. Accordingly, a Hipshot Hardtail bridge is used on the body, which guarantees an optimal adjustment of intonation and string position of all strings. In addition, the strings guided through the body support the cleanly defined sound of the electric guitar. Behind the Graph Tech saddle, Grover tuning mechanisms on the headstock ensure precise and stable tuning.
